The Perkins Wrestling team finished 9th out of 12 team at Wadsworth Invite.  Placing was:

3rd - 130 lbs. Cameron Campbell (4-1)

4th - 171 lbs.  Alex Trautman (3-2)

5th - 103 lbs  Bryon Logan (3-2)

5th  - 145 lbs. Joey Sndyer (4-1)

6th - 160 lbs Kody Kaser (2-3

7th - 145 lbs. Spencer Matthias (2-3)

8th - 285 lbs Brock Naufel (1-3)

215 lbs Nash Uhl went 3-2 but failed to place.

"The competition was great and we only took 8 guys and placed 7 of them in the top 8.   Their is no room for mistakes at a tournament like

this, the matches are usually so close and it prepares you for the end of the year.  Cameron Campbell wrestled a good tournament and lost to

the Wadsworth kid to a 1 point match in the semi-finals.  Wadsworth is ranked 8th in the country and we banged heads with them pretty good.

We knew we would not score high as a team with only 8 guys because everyone getting 5 matches but we focusing on the individual match ups.

Bryce Tricker of Warren Howland won by pin over Alex Trautman of Sandusky Perkins in 3:24.

5th place -

Bryon Logan of Sandusky Perkins won by decision over Nick Bishop of Mayfield 3-0.

Joey Snyder of Sandusky Perkins won by decision over Ben Lebrun of Strongsville 9-3.

Koh Schooley of Olentangy won by major decision over Kody Kaser of Sandusky Perkins 8-0.

7th Place Match

Spencer Matthias of Sandusky Perkins won by pin over Brian Puharich of Warren Howland in 1:57.

Daryk Maki of Wadsworth won by injury default over Brock Naufel of Sandusky Perkins.
